Offering Hope & Peace of Mind
A stay in a Critical Care Unit disrupts everything. When a loved one is seriously injured or ill, uncertainty and anxiety mount. When you or your family member can finally leave the ICU but are still unable to go home, it can be unnerving. But it doesn’t have to be. That’s where we step in.
We are InterMedical Hospital of South Carolina (IMH). Also known as a “hospital within a hospital,” we are a Long-Term Acute Care Facility (LTACH), and we’re here to show you the light at the end of a long, frustrating tunnel.
IMH fills a critical space in the healthcare continuum. One step removed from critical care, we give patients a place to receive treatment and the time they need to get well.

Dedicated to Patients
InterMedical Hospital of South Carolina looks forward to helping you and your family member. We understand how devastating and taxing it is on the patient and those who love and care for them when a sudden or a chronic illness strikes.
IMH is dedicated to helping patients and family members with their specific healthcare needs. We medically manage acute care patients with the assistance of more than 150 credentialed physicians within our network. If you have a physician who has been consulted in your care and would like him or her to continue their involvement in your care at IMH, they may already have privileges at IMH. We’re more than willing to accommodate physicians who don’t possess privileges at IMH and will help them with temporary or permanent privileges prior to your admission.
Visiting Your Loved One @ IMH
InterMedical Hospital takes great pride in having the opportunity to care for your loved one and helping him or her attain their recovery goals. We do have some simple rules for visitation at our hospital:
- 9AM – 8PM Open visitation
- Children under the age of thirteen are not permitted
- No Live flowers
- Mylar Balloons allowed
- Food for patients must be approved by staff (due to patient food restrictions)
Visiting hours depend on patient and family needs. It is unrealistic to think we all function on the same schedule. You or your family member will receive excellent care regardless of the time of day.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone at (803) 296-3701.
